A couple of things are really apparent after putting together this list; there is a serious lack of full bust clothing brands in North America and more specifically, Canada. If you know of a great Canadian or American company that is making clothing for full bust women then please let me know and I can add it to this list. xx
I tried purchasing from AJ Rumina, which is US based. I would not recommend them. Their online shop is a mess - it assessed shipping to Canada at $0, which was a pleasant surprise, however I never received the item and it took multiple attempts at contact to hear back from them. Turns out, shipping to Canada was not free after all, which is all good, but I would have liked to know about it at the time of purchase. I cancelled that order.

DeleteWhat a great resource! I can vouch for the Jailyn Apparel Mandarin Collar 3/4-Sleeve Shirt. (In fact, I reviewed it -- my review is the one titled "Holy grail.") Office-friendly and attractive. What more could you want?
ReplyDeleteA U.S.-based company to add to your list is Karina , which makes fabulous dresses. I just bought this one. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could wear this style without pinning or a cami. (I wear a 34DDD bra.)
Karina dresses cost US$160, which is not cheap, but a) I don't buy that many clothes; b) they're absurdly flattering, and they don't wrinkle (I'm ironing-impaired); and c) they're made in the U.S. by seamstresses who get paid a living wage, which is important to me.
P.S. I work for neither Jailyn nor Karina. I'm just a satisfied customer!
This is SO useful, thank you!! I too am ironing-impaired so anything that helps in that department is very welcome! I buy fewer good quality items rather than lots of cheaper ones. I find the cut is better for my shape. xx
DeleteFor the UK/Europe section, don't forget Pepperberry! I can't wholeheartedly recommend them for overseas orders, because I didn't find the sizing very consistent (most things run large). But they have a great selection of lovely curvy clothes!

DeleteThe Alika Dress is a Bettie Page dress so you can add them to list. I love their dresses (I haven't tried their separates) and they always fit my 40I boobs!

DeleteA bit of a niche market within a niche market, but Momzelle is a Canadian brand of nursingwear. My friend who wears a 32L fits into the mediums nicely. There is also Nurture-Elle, another Canadian nursingwear company. Some women find the styles a bit blousey over a larger bust, but they fit and are very flattering. You can find them here www.momzelle.com and here www.nurture-elle.com You can also find them here www.milkface.com along with other international brands of breastfeeding apparel. Full disclosure, I work at Milkface and have the pleasure of fitting nursing moms into beautiful bras and fashions.

DeleteThis is great! I have been looking for Canadian retailers of nursing dresses. I had found Milkface recently but just looked at Momzelle and Nurture-elle as well and see some nice looking pieces. As a 30/32 I/J when breastfeeding, a well-fitting nursing dress is not easy to come by so your comments are very helpful and I am looking forward to some delightful online shopping. :-)

I was apparently the first Canadian to ever order from DD Atelier and I have also gotten many pieces from BiuBiu and occasionally Urkye and can vouch for the quality and appeal of the clothing of these retailers at least. Ironically, shipping from Europe is often cheaper than shipping from the US because European retailers often use standard post while most items from the US use couriers, and I have received my items fairly promptly as a rule, so I don't hesitate to order from Europe anymore. In my experience, DD Atelier tends to fit women with large busts but smaller waists and hips, so if you're a small frame but with more hips, BiuBiu may fit better. Urkye also tends to accomodate hips fairly well. I look forward to trying some of these other sites now as well!
